Albury Full Farm Painting and Restoration
Recently, I completed a full farm restoration in Albury, New South Wales. Technically, the farm was just outside the main town of Albury (Table Tops) but we were painting roofs and farms in the Albury area at the time.
The owner of the farm had contacted us several weeks earlier. My father and I had actually worked for this particular farmer half a decade before this project. Previously, we had painted roofs, sheds, and gates for the owner of the farm, but he had lost our number!
However, as if by chance, his sister had come across one of our videos on Instagram. She sent me messages on Instagram and Facebook, and this is how we reconnected with our past client.
Our client had hired us to paint his farm for an upcoming bull sale which he hosts on the farm every year. We only had a short time to complete the project. It was a very large farm, so it was no easy feat! But, it was doable and the results turned out better than expected!
Albury Farm Painting
Gates & Entrances
All gates and entrances were pressure-cleaned to remove any excess dust and dirt. They were then painted with a clear rust-proof protective coating which is penetrol-based: this coating will hold back any further rusting.
With a small paint machine and very light pressure, we then applied several coats of an aluminium-based specialised paint. This paint adds an additional layer of protection from the harsh Australian climate.

The Letterbox
This family requested that we paint the outside of their letterbox which was located at the entrance of their farm. We usually don’t do small implements on their own, but we will paint items like letterboxes as part of larger projects.

The Bull Pen
Finally, we were able to transform the large bullpen within the farm. Obviously, we had to ensure no cows were going to be present during the cleaning or painting. We had to tackle the small issue of a possum who called the bullpen home! But, he quickly ran away once the painting started (don’t worry, he returned once the painting had ceased and he was actually sleeping within the beams when we returned to the farm several months later).
I power-washed the pen, applied the protective coating and painted it. It was certainly a challenge given that we were on a time crunch for the bull sale, but we got it all completed just in time.

Your Turn
If you would like your Albury silo, roof, or shed painted, feel free to contact me (Alfie) on 0427598282. While I mainly work with farmers, we also paint house roofs if we are in the area.
However, if you’re not located in Albury, that’s great too! I paint farms all over Australia.
