Garah Shed Roof Painting & Repair Project
I recently completed a shed roof painting project in Garah, which is a small town in the Moree Plains Shire locality of New South Wales. Garah is a small farming community of just under 300 people.
The owners of this roof were farmers who had contacted me after seeing one of my advertisements around town.

Painting the Garah Shed Roof
While this roof had suffered from the affects of the Australian sun, the rusting on this particular shed was not too bad. I have certainly seen worst in this area! The Moree Plains Shire is known for its hot, dry summers, so roofs in this locality can get pretty bad.
However, these farmers made the right decision and contacted Hendrys Restorations before the rusting became too severe.

After a quick assessment, I noticed that some areas of the roof needed to be screwed down. I pressure-cleaned the roof, then secured the problem areas with tek screws.
Later that day, I applied a penetrol-based protective coating to the entire roof. This coating will hold back any further rust progression. These farmers can rest assure that their Garah roof is now protected.
Finally, I gave the roof two coatings of Deluxe Acratex® in a colour of their choice (they chose Surf Mist). I’m happy to say that this shed roof looks as good as any house roof in Garah!
