Town House Restoration in Goondawindi, Queensland
The team here at Hendry’s Restorations recently completed a town house restoration for a farmer in Goondawindi. Goondawindi is a rural town close to the Queensland / New South Wales border with a population of 6200+.
The owner of this building requested a quick job. We wouldn’t say that this town house was in disarray (we’ve seen much worst!) However, we always believe early intervention is best, so this farmer came to us at the perfect time.
Our Process
We began the job by pressure cleaning (power-washing) the roof. Once cleaned, we then secured the roof with tek screws.
Before the restoration with clear signs of rust. The owner had called us after witnessing the first signs of decay.
As everyone knows, the in-land weather can be unforgiving. Like other towns in the area, Goondawindi is known for its harsh heat. The weather makes roofs in this area highly susceptible to erosion. Therefore, we sealed the roof with a zinc phosphate primer coating.
Zinc phosphate is an anti-corrosive paint which we often use on roofs. As it is considered high performance, it is perfect for those house and shed roofs within in-land Australia.
Once we sealed the town house we allowed some time to dry. As a final step, we then top-coated the roof in sugar mill aluminium paint.
The final results of the full restoration. This restoration took our team just days to complete, but the results will last for years to come.
The team at Hendry’s Restorations were very happy with this job: The roof came up as new! In all, this job took only a couple of days to complete.
